Once you have downloaded the image, you can verify it by checking against the relevant SHA256 digest.
- The Solaris 11 does not come bundled with the desktop GUI package by default, so you will have to install the desktop GUI package from the IPS repository. Check out the post to create a repository. Please note that this requires a reboot of the system.
- For the Dell EqualLogic array, install the Host Integration Tools package to support MPIO on Windows systems. For Linux systems, use the native MPIO. For Hitachi Vantara using CCI engine, HDLM 7.6 is supported on the following systems: AIX, Linux, and Windows.
Oracle Solaris 11.4 VM Template for Oracle VM for SPARC
This guest domain can be installed on any system running Oracle VM Server for SPARC 3.1.1 or later under the control of Oracle VM Manager 3.3.1. The administrator configures the guest domain template (name, IP address, etc.) during the first boot.
To download this SPARC template:
- Go to edelivery.oracle.com
- Sign in and accept the terms
- Select Linux/OVM/VMs and type Oracle VM Template for Oracle Solaris on the Product line
- Select Platform = Oracle Solaris for SPARC
- Select the specific download
